Walter W. Rector
Principal, Bromont Group, LLC
Walter W. Rector founded Bromont in 1993 after numerous successful partnerships and ventures such as Western Devcor, Inc., Division President of Koll Real Estate Group, and Artemis Realty Group. Mr. Rector's track record includes the ground up development of over 2 million square feet of Class A office space and 3.5 million square feet of retail space, and the redevelopment of retail portfolios in excess of 2.5 million SF. Mr. Rector directs the full scope of acquisition, management and development services for each of the Bromont entities. Under his leadership, Bromont and its predecessor entities have developed more than 5.5 million SF of office, retail, and residential real estate throughout the United States.
Notably, Mr. Rector was directly responsible for the redevelopment of 1899 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington D.C, named The Washington Business Journal's 2003 New Building of the Year. On a local level, Mr. Rector is well known and respected for the development of the Scottsdale Financial Center I, II, and III; Biltmore Financial Center I, II, and III; 2777 East Camelback Office Building; Redevelopment of the Scottsdale High School site, and Heritage Square in Flagstaff to name but a few. Mr. Rector has also recently negotiated and closed the acquisition of 25 anchored retail shopping centers from Glimcher Realty Trust and a three-center portfolio from Burk Collins Company in Dallas, Texas. Jerry Levan
Principal, Bromont Property Management, LLC
Jerry Levan is a veteran real estate professional with national and international experience. With a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Levan has been involved in the construction, operation and management of commercial buildings for over 30 years. During this time he has managed portfolios of class 'A' properties in multiple states.
Prior to starting Bromont Property Management Company Mr. Levan was Vice President and Director of Engineering for the Western United States for Grubb & Ellis Management Services. In his capacity he provided guidance to property and portfolio managers in building construction, operational and labor relation issues. In a dual roll, Mr. Levan was also Vice President and Director of Management Services for the State of Arizona and was responsible for all management activity.
Other selected highlights of this management activity include constructing a 12-story high rise in Sao Paulo, Brazil; the John Hancock Center Chicago, a 100-story multiuse high rise; the three million SF CNA Insurance Headquarters providing daily work space for 6,000 employees and visitors; the historic Chicago Union Station, rated the nation's third busiest rail center with 140,000 passengers each day. While managing this 1.6 million square foot 95 year old facility, an entirely new internal retail center was developed featuring restaurants, lounges and soft goods sales areas without interruption to the normal passenger flow.
